Greetings... For those of you who are unfamiliar with Delta of Venus, I (your humble editor) will give you a quick rundown of what this site is about.

We could be described as a number of things: part online art-smut zine, part virtual erotica museum, part historical archive, and part enlightened porn website. I think you'll find there's nothing else quite like it.

Herein you'll find an extensive collection of vintage erotica: photography, films, prose, poetry, and more. The material runs the gamut from genuine art, to ‘tasteful' softcore-type stuff, and on to what we can pretty much agree is what they call ‘hard-core porn'. Something for everyone, at least if you're looking for early photos & films of naked people.

DoV is designed to be an alternative to the vast sea of unimaginative porn out there. Sex is a (the?) central focus of our lives, but I don't think endless photos of professional models getting screwed in every possible position really reflect what it's all about. Some people are happy with that, but this site is designed for folks who love sex, erotica and obscenity but also want something literate & enlightening.
